Submissions and letters

The Australian Mammal Society advocates for the conservation of Australia's unique mammal fauna through evidence-based contributions to public policy, environmental decision-making and public discourse.

This page brings together letters, submissions and statements prepared by the Society and its members on matters affecting the conservation and management of Australian mammals. These documents are provided to government agencies, decision-makers, industry bodies and the media to promote informed consideration of the needs of native mammals and the ecosystems on which they depend.

Through these contributions, the Society seeks to ensure that the best available scientific knowledge informs policies and actions that affect Australia's mammal biodiversity.
