FAME award

FAME (The Foundation for Australia’s Most Endangered Species) provides financial assistance and expertise in the delivery of projects and programs aimed at protecting and re-establishing Australian species and their habitats. This prize recognises a project that has undertaken direct actions to conserve an Australian mammal, or generated high-quality science that directly supports conservation action. The prize will be awarded to the best applied conservation project with a spoken or poster presentation by a student at an Annual Meeting of the Society.

The award consists of a certificate and a monetary prize of $300. The mode of payment will be determined by the FAME Board and payment arranged with the student after the conference.

Student members are automatically entered in the FAME Prize, unless they notify the Society that they do not wish to be considered for the award. This can be done when submitting a conference abstract.
