This year’s Australian Mammal Society Conference will be held in Alice Springs in the last week of September. The conference proper will run from Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th September with a special symposium on Thursday 29th September. The symposium will focus on the issue of cats, with a view to providing an opportunity for an update on developments and results from various feral and non-feral cat research activities across Australia. The Postgraduate Day will be held prior to the conference on Sunday 25th September.

The conference proper will be held at the Alice Springs Convention Centre; many members will have been there before for recent conferences organised by the Ecological Society and Rangeland Society. The 1-day symposium will be held at the nearby Doubletree by Hilton which is only 700 metres from the Convention Centre. The postgraduate day will be held at Charles Darwin University.

The organizing committee is looking forward to welcoming AMS members to Alice Springs in September. We have arranged a range of associated events including tours to local areas of interest which we are sure will be of interest to many. All conference details and information about tours and events are available at this link.
